Kacchi Dabeli कच्ची दाबेली
If you've ever been to Maharastra and not had Kacchi Dabeli (कच्ची दाबेली) , you have really missed something! The word Kacchi Dabeli originated from the 'Kutch' which is a place in Gujarat, India. The 'Dabeli' ( दाबेली in Marathi) may mean 'pressed'।
Kacchi Dabeli is a delicious food item where a spicy mix (the filling) with peanutes and pomogranates ( अनार in Hindi/Marathi) as the key fruit. Its the most unique and tasty snack I have ever had. In Pune, you can find Kacchi Dabeli food 'stalls' or 'dhabas' (Fast food joints) almost everywhere.
Those of you who are familiar with Pav Bhaji (पाव भाजी) will find the Kacchi Dabeli very fascinating and extremely tasty. I have it everytime I get a chance to visit Pune (पुणे).
